I have come across so many black women who have a strange fixation with healing the black community. And I must ask why?
I think it stems from the concept of black love, and their completely misguided belief that once black men release the self-hate and mental conditioning that isn’t their fault (I’m preparing my eye roll right now!) they will see black women as their queens and work to restore “the black family.” They hope that black men will eventually choose them, even though these men have been choosing themselves and dating whomever they desire since forever.
Excuse me while I roll my eyes well into the back of my head. If you’re mad at anything I’ve said so far, ask yourself if I am telling you anything black men haven’t showed you yet?
