I would rather women focus on themselves and their individual choices instead of developing depression over a system they have no control over. I would rather women seriously think long and hard about why they want to be mothers and if they want to be mothers in a system they claim is failing them. The other option is to intelligently see our country for what it is, choose motherhood anyway, and then cry about it daily like the young lady mentioned.

I hate to say this, but it is quite obvious that our capitalist society is not rolling out the red carpet to accommodate certain social classes of women who procreate. And no matter how much you feel cheated, no matter how much you rage you feel, and no matter how unjust it feels, you cannot change this. And trust me, having more and more children in spite of this information is not going to solve the issues you are facing. In fact, it might make your situation worse.

Trust me, I get it. Women want to have their cake and eat it too. They want to have as many kids as they please without worrying about how expensive it is to raise them. They want a…
