On Bodybuilding: Ladies, Let Men Be Big In Peace!
“Your body doesn’t belong to any man, correct? Similarly, no man’s body and what he does with it is yours to control.”
Because I lift weights I am privy to the memes, jokes, and conversations surrounding bodybuilding, and it seems as though this is the realm where the tables are turned as it pertains to attraction and women are allowed to judge and critique men’s bodies.
The main criticism has to do with how much muscle a man desires to put on his frame. Some ladies are taking to social media to ask why a man would intentionally alter his body and even his health through PEDs and steroids to build ridiculously large muscles.
Their rationale for asking such questions may appear as if they are concerned with the mental health and physical health of these men, but it always points back to these women and what they personally find aesthetically pleasing. Because how dare a small population of men have the audacity to prioritize their fitness goals and bodies in ways that benefit them first? How dare a man prefer the sanctuary of the gym over a damn dinner date?
