Women who want to have children far outnumber the women who don’t want them at all. It is what it is. There is no need to take it personal and flare your nostrils when your doctor suggests this.

I am going to come right out and say something that might piss some ladies off. But I am going to put everything on the line to say something that no woman wants to hear, especially if she is childfree. Here goes:

I understand why doctors question the hell out of women who want to undergo permanent birth control. I don’t like it. But I certainly get it. I also understand why men don’t receive a lot of shit about sterilization either. Misogyny aside vasectomies are fucking reversible, ladies! Doctors normally question the hell out of a woman’s intentions for this because permanent birth control is…you guessed it, permanent! Vasectomies are not.

The irony of women’s rage as it pertains to the assumption that they’ll change their minds is fascinating, considering that we have all encountered the friend, aunt, coworker, cousin, or woman we barely know who was dead set on not having kids but then pops out two or three of them years later.

You need to understand that authentic childfree people are extremely rare. Many people claim to be childfree until they fall in love, get older…
