One Of The Best Decisions I’ve Made In Life Was To Quit Listening To Men Complain

Let me just start off by saying this: I am a cancer. Cancers are known to be highly intuitive, sensitive, nurturing, and good listeners. While we get a lot of flack for basically being the cry babies of the zodiac (because most people are too lazy to get to know us outside of this label), I do love being a cancer.

With that being said, I have spent a lot of my life listening. Especially listening to people and topics I really don’t care about. It took me a while to not allow people to just use me as a free therapist (with no reciprocation at that) and the decision came with me letting some friends go, along with prioritizing my peace and personal space.

Nobody is allowed to intrude in your personal space (time, energy, physical being) without your permission.

I am the textbook definition of a loner, and I truly enjoy my own company. However, I do understand the verdict is that some men believe that they are god’s gift to women and that our time is best spent catering to them.

A very overlooked aspect of catering to men you don’t care about is listening to them talk on and on and on about utter nonsense, but they mainly rant about women. I find a lot of men feel very comfortable yapping their jaws without considering if I care to…
