Regarding my parents, the same religion they shoved down my throat contributed to a lot of issues that I had to deal with, including full-blown spiritual warfare. So yeah, I am taking it personal and I have every right to do so.

I don't owe you or anyone else anything that makes you comfortable. I have made it very clear from the beginning that I am not a Christian. Therefore, I do not work on behalf of Christian women like yourself, so you cannot request and especially not demand that I write content that appeases you and your god. You are more than free to worship and believe whatever or whomever you wish. But just like I do not interfere with your spiritual practices nor do I flat out tell you to quit praying to Jesus, do not silence me in my space or ask me to reconsider anything. As a writer I find it appalling that anyone would even think to ask such a thing.

In my titles and subtitles it is quite obvious that I am going to bring up some uncomfortable topics and opinions that you may not agree with. Just don't read the things that make you uncomfortable. It's as simple as that. For example, many black women have an issue with me speaking about black men. Instead of ignoring my articles where I talk about them, they read anyway and get upset. It's absolute madness to me.

I will never, ever let up on speaking my truth regardless of how it makes you and others feel. Feel free to pick and choose what you would like to read, or you can quit reading altogether. Your choice. But one thing's for sure: I am not responsible for your feelings.
