Reparations: Nonblack People Compensating The Black Race For What Black Men Refuse To Do
“There is no way that we should accept black men sitting on their asses and creating all sorts of podcasts encouraging anyone to beg for reparations from another group of men!”
When I first heard about the idea of reparations I actually thought it was a joke. But as I began to pay attention to the buzz and many conflicting conversations surrounding it I realized that black people were dead-ass serious about proposing that the descendants of slavery, at least the American ones, were owed trillions of dollars out of the blue, even though we had a hand to play in the slave trade. Even though other races were enslaved as well.
If we really examine the demand for reparations, it appears silly for anyone to financially compensate a group of people for something they’ve never gone through, at least for me. In what world are black people owed trillions of dollars for an institution they never personally experienced?
