The winner you are cultivating through showing up regardless of who is around to applaud you cannot lose. Ever.

Just a few moments ago I pressed the publish button to send my eighth issue of my newsletter, Orgasmic Soul Manifesto, and a lighthearted feeling of satisfaction washed over me. As Chopin’s Nocturne in G Major was playing softly in the background, I relished in the beautiful feeling of a job well done.

Now my job well done isn’t based on any external validation from my subscribers, because my newsletter is fairly new and my subscriber base is still fairly small. But I am not sour about this information, because seeds always grow when you nurture them. That’s what they’re literally coded to do!

So I am proud of myself for having the courage to nurture and grow my newsletter through consistently pressing that publish button week after week, no matter how many readers I have. Because my job isn’t to worry about who shows up to support me through supporting themselves. My job is to continue being that sexy-ass farmer through sowing seeds and nurturing those seeds. When my seeds decide to sprout isn’t up to me.

I am amazed at how so many creators only feel proud of themselves when they receive external feedback in the form of earnings, subscribers…
