Self-Care Tip: Let Bad Things Happen To People!

I took a walk outside today. I breathed in fresh air as one foot crossed in front of the other on the warmed, sunlit pavement. I lifted my head and turned into the direction of my neighbor’s yard. My eyes witnessed two adorable butterflies playing tag. One chased the other playfully.

Once I looked down I observed the atrocious yet necessary pact of life: death. I gasped as I carefully stepped over the baby lizard that was dead before my feet. Ants were ferociously eating away at its little body.

In mere seconds I witnessed the beauty of life, and how every single entity who is alive to enjoy this gift has signed up to die at some point in their lives. Death comes earlier for some, like the lizard who barely got a fighting chance. But our last breath is inevitable.

Nature is perfect, in its own twisted, fucked up way. Maybe this world has no problems? Maybe people get exactly what they deserve? Who were these poor, sick people in their past lives? Of course we don’t know. Is anybody really innocent?

Like the ants, there are people who feed on dead people: those individuals who walk around like zombies and fail to control their lives, their minds, their money, and their energy. We usually call these scavengers energy vampires.
