They knew their kids were going to consume all of the energy they needed to fuel their dreams before they had them…and that’s exactly why they had them!

I do not need to be a parent to have a pretty good understanding on the many extremes people go to in order to sabotage themselves, even when they want to spend the entirety of their lives lying about how much they want to get a degree, lose weight, make more money, or upgrade their quality of life amongst other things.

I feel like I have an expert understanding of self-sabotage because I have spent the majority of my life talking myself out of the desires I claimed I wanted to actualize, and intentionally using my actions to back up my subconscious fear of success.

So not only am I at a place where I have called myself out on my shit and addressed the discrepancy between the body, money, and lifestyle I claimed I deserved and the actions that guaranteed my failure, but I am able to recognize a popular, socially-acceptable way some individuals with so much potential manifest their fear of success. And that way has everything to do with putting aside their goals to start a family and actually lying to themselves about why they have more kids than accomplished goals!
