As I will continue to say, everyone wants to groom you. Marriage is but one popular avenue for this to occur.

I have accepted a long time ago that men as a collective do not view women as human beings. As a result, nothing they do or say necessarily triggers me anymore. I don’t take their peacocking personally. I can only be mad at men if I want or need something from them like love, commitment, marriage, and family that they have been adamant about attaching their own controlling terms to, which is what many single women who have been burned by men their entire lives are secretly battling with accepting.

Well, I’m not. I stopped sitting on the fence a long-ass time ago. So I can enjoy men as they are as life lessons, entertainment, and content to build my brand. Every time they open their mouths I am not angry like those ladies who love to hate them are. I am relieved that I have already detached my womb and my heart from the shit-show called masculinity exemplified in men whose mothers did the world a disservice by birthing them.

All in all, women are upset at themselves every time one of their creations called men disillusions their fantasies of being saved and rescued from the responsibilities of single womanhood by some white knight called a husband, all while they are still able to maintain the same autonomy and freedoms…
