“Stop Stealing Our Men!” And Other Silly Shit Black Women Say
How can anyone “steal” a grown-ass man? How in the fuck does that work?
If there is one notion I want to analyze and finally bury as a black woman, it is this ridiculous phrase many black women use when they come across an interracial couple, namely a black man with a nonblack woman, with the woman usually being white.
Black women who are pro-black to a fault are usually holding on to the completely made-up concept called black love for dear life, even though black men are known for expanding their dating options to include all races of women with no guilt attached. Interestingly enough, instead of getting upset at black men for abandoning them as single mothers for lighter, brighter pastures that include smaller bodies, even smaller facial features, and wavy hair, they have all the smoke for the nonblack partners of black men instead!
Because how dare you bravely step to the men you’ve been conditioned to love and serve since forever and demand an explanation for why your loyalty is unreciprocated!
