Story Time: A Man Takes Two Tipsy Women Back To His Place To Read Shakespeare.
It was a late Friday night when my friend and I went out for drinks at a dive bar in Manhattan. While Gucci Mane was blaring in the background I sat quietly to observe the atmosphere and nurse my drink while my social butterfly of a friend worked the room. A man sat next to me and struck up a conversation about politics. While we were discussing current events Lia walked over to me to make sure I was okay. Then she recognized the man I was in deep discussion with. Apparently they met at this same bar last year and agreed to meet again over dinner. But he was a no-show! I sipped my drink as she demanded an explanation as to why he never showed up. The strange man fumbled his words and my friend got irritated. She walked away to leave him speechless.
Later on that night Lia met a guy who was a software developer. Interestingly enough, this same man initiated a conversation with me about art before they ran into each other. And needless to say I was impressed; what man talks about paintings and famous artists with a woman he just met? My friend wrapped her arms around me as she asked if I wanted to go back to his place with her. I took one good look at the guy. He had a very meek and kind presence about him. I agreed. So all three of us left the bar to head to his third floor walk-up a few blocks away.
