“Not today, Satan!”

Christian women everywhere

For many of us ladies we are aware that most of the members belonging to our gender counterpart have one thing in common:

They have the utter audacity.

And there are times when we really don’t want to put up with their shit. That time arrived for me one afternoon while I was traveling on the train in Washington, DC.

I was sitting quietly in a pretty empty train, lost in my thoughts. Besides an older couple standing near one of the doors and three passengers sprinkled throughout the car on their phones there was nobody around. I shared company with seats that had no bodies in them, and it was pure bliss.

Once the train got to the next stop the doors opened. A black man around my age stepped inside. His loud rap music blaring from his phone, as well as his pants that barely covered his grey boxers, was jarring and immediately disrupted the peaceful energy in the train car. I rolled my eyes. Not only because of my disgust with a grown man who insisted on not using headphones, but I could feel him wanting to sit next to me when there were plenty of seats available.
