Story Time: The Pastor’s Wife Gifted My Brother Underwear For Christmas

“Who on earth gifts a pack of underwear to anyone they are not sleeping with?”

The male-worship that stems from women knows no bounds. Truly. Just when I believe the women-folk are finally coming to their senses, they show me that they’re not!

Although my brother isn’t a Christian, one Sabbath morning he tagged along with my father and went to church with him. After the service they were both invited to have lunch with the pastor’s family in their home. For the rest of the evening the pastor’s wife seemed to take a keen interest in him. She kept asking questions about his life and paying special attention to his every move.

The next weekend was the Sabbath after Christmas. The pastor’s family invited my dad and brother over again for lunch. This time the pastor’s wife had more to offer Chris other than food, company, and of course, adoration and attention.

“I brought you a gift,” she told him excitedly as she placed the gift bag in his hand. “Make sure you don’t open it until you get home,” she instructed.

“Um, okay. Thanks,” Chris said to her. He was surprised that she singled him out of the congregation and gave him a gift, even after being invited into her home twice.
