Believe it or not, but it is very possible to crave foods that make you feel good and look good too.

Build your meals around foods you actually like.

Actually, you do not need to buy into the superfoods marketing. You can be healthy, fit and sexy without acai bowls for breakfast, goji berries for snacks or adding spirulina to your smoothies every morning. If you want to experiment for the sake of feeling adventurous feel free to do so, but at the end of the day you don’t need any of that shit.

Many people have lived long lives without knowing what black seed oil is, or signing up for a parasite cleanse that some malnourished influencer swears is the secret to her flat stomach. They eat what’s available, what tastes good to them, and most importantly, what they can afford.

Seriously, health is very simple. It is all of the options capitalism affords us that makes shit seem complicated. You cannot go wrong with the foundation that nearly every country follows for meal times, because if it ain’t broke don’t fix it: a starch like rice, potatoes or bread, a protein such as meat or seafood, plus a side of raw or cooked veggies and a delicious source of fat like a creamy dipping sauce, homemade salad dressing or a drizzle of olive oil.
