That Time I Was Offered $25,000 For My Hand In Marriage
“You know you are not cut out to be anyone’s wife when they offer you five figures just to be married on paper.”
I had a coworker who snatched a piece of my heart. I wasn’t in love with him or anything; we just grew very fond of each other after a rocky beginning.
He is a fiery Leo, and one day he loudly demanded that I help him with something. Even though I was the new employee I wasn’t going to allow this coworker to speak to me in such a disrespectful manner. I am usually cool as a cucumber, but I felt the need to set the tone for how I was going to be treated at my new place of employment. So I fired back.
My shouting must have turned him on. He gave me a big smile and apologized. And from that day forward he was mindful of his tone whenever he addressed me.
For some strange reason it excited him to see me riled up, so he would attempt to push my buttons from time to time. He knew the reaction he wanted out of me, and I didn’t mind giving in to his expectations from time to time. After all, making men feel small and inadequate through my words is one of my favorite pastimes.
“Baby, I love your energy!” he exclaimed one afternoon after I cursed his ass out in front of the entire staff.
