Journal Entry #18: The Art Of Creating A New Bare Minimum As It Relates To My Goals

When I first got started in writing it took me many months to reach the amount of followers, engagement, and earnings I enjoy to this very day.
I was consistent at first. I republished the older articles from my blog daily. But if I can be honest these articles weren’t anything people wanted to read. So it took me over three months to finally get two followers.
What changed?
Well, I decided on two things. First, I was going to publish a minimum of three articles a week, whether I felt like it or not. And I was going to give myself permission to be as raw and real as possible. I ditched the nice girl facade that was holding me back and showed the world my true feelings about relationships, sex, men, and cultural topics.
Many readers loved it. Some hated my authenticity because my ability to think for myself made them uncomfortable.
Either way I got paid and rewarded for being myself. Plus, how anyone feels about my opinions really isn’t my problem. I tell people all the time to utilize Jesus or a therapist as resources if they are triggered. If anything, Jesus…
