Give yourself permission to believe in your own beauty for once. Who is going to stop you? Ugly people?
When someone doesn’t like you, ask yourself if you like them. Ask yourself if you find them attractive. Ask yourself if you aspire to be any of these folks, or if you want to live like them. This is how you disempower people who truly don’t matter. Only pay attention to individuals, movements, narratives, and opinions that make you feel good to be yourself!
There is no need to give a damn about the collective society or who is talking the most shit in our society. Again, if they don’t make you feel good about yourself tune them all the way out. You are not their target audience. Nothing they say applies to you.
Seriously, have you seen what society looks like? Is our society filled to the brim with glamorous, successful men and women who are happy in their own skin, or is it largely made up of miserable individuals who aren’t attractive by anyone’s standards, with most of them spreading a lot of unnecessary hate anonymously? They’re busy wasting their lives judging your face and body online and they don’t even have one photo posted for you to judge them back! So why do their faceless opinions make you feel bad about yourself? Why does anything they say hold any merit?
