If there is one thing I am learning while on this writing journey, it is this:

I need to quit getting so caught up in publishing the next viral article.

Treating my passion like a business means I cannot get emotionally attached to the outcome. Meaning, whether an article does “well” or not isn’t that relevant. I am doing the work consistently; that’s all I can focus on. Because how my audience receives this work is something I cannot control.

Money will find me either way. It has no choice but to recognize that I am showing up daily and that I expect my efforts to be compensated.

My biggest payout so far happened last month. And while I was browsing through the many articles that paid me I realized something significant.

Around 60% of my earnings that month stemmed from my many articles that paid me less than $10.00 a pop. It was a good chunk of change.
