The Blunt Reason Why Men Raise Pets Better Than Their Own Kids
When a man loves you and cares about you and the family he creates with you his actions show it!
I watched a reel that tugged at my heart strings where a young man was cuddling with his pet dog. The dog was comfortably snuggled against his chest as his arms rocked him gently. It was very sweet to watch.
But I couldn’t help but think that this man was probably raising a child with a woman who would consider him a deadbeat dad, although he appears to be a very attentive and nurturing dog dad.
Keep in mind that I am not implying a man cannot raise both children and pets successfully. There are many awesome dads out there who love their kids and their pets. But in this article I want to hone in on the reality of single parenthood and shed some light on why some fathers are dead beat dads to humans but excellent dads to animals.
Before I begin, I want to debunk the misconception that people raise and nurture pets to compensate for the fact that they really want kids but cannot have them. This falsehood is only perpetuated by miserable, self-absorbed parents who believe all childfree individuals are barren and jealous of them. I respect people who “raise” pets, plants, degrees, hobbies, businesses, and other ventures that require a significant investment of time…
