The Devil Is (Literally) In The Details

On Sunday my brother and I ran a few errands. Chris wanted to shop at a smaller international grocery store in a strip mall then visit the dollar store a few doors down to pick up a few items. So I accompanied him.
After the grocery bags were loaded in the trunk I waited outside while Chris pushed the cart back to the corral. When he got back he gave me a confused look. Because he was expecting me to wait in the car.
“So…we’re walking to the dollar store?” he asked.
My mouth dropped open in disbelief at the idea of driving to park right in front of the dollar store when it was literally a few steps away!
“Chris, are you fucking kidding me? Of course we are walking! It’s right there! Are you shitting me?!” I replied angrily.
He chuckled nonchalantly. “Oh, okay. I mean, it’s not that big of a deal. I usually park in front of the dollar store after going to the grocery.”
“It is that big of a deal!” I exclaimed in a serious tone. “You’ve been telling me that you want to lose weight for the longest, and yet you refuse to walk a few steps to the store that’s right…
