I have always been disgusted by black women who start businesses with their black male partners or hire them as employees and managers of their businesses. From Mary J. Blige to Tasha Smith to Wendy Williams, I have seen how the concept of black love, a lie sold to us by black men, completely fucks black women over as it relates to business and money.
There is a famous saying that goes, “What’s yours is mine, and what’s mine is yours.” This quote can definitely work for two people who come together as one in a relationship with equal assets and an equal desire to fulfill each other’s needs. However, black relationships are the exception.
