For the longest I thought decorating was a waste of time. That was because I was too stuck in the manly mind state that every thing I pursue has to have some sort of grand purpose and payoff outside of doing fun things just for the fuck of it.

But that’s the thing: why not waste your time in ways that bring you joy? Actually, this is a misnomer because enjoyment is never a waste of time. In fact, isn’t this the reason why we work so hard? Men who are balanced in their feminine energy like my father understand that working just to work or to receive bragging rights that you can outwork everyone is pointless, and quite idiotic. We work to enjoy life!

I don’t give a damn who isn’t in tune with their emotions, we only work hard to feel good. As humans we chase feelings. Shit, even the feeling of accomplishment is a feeling, yes?
