The Men Who Appreciated My Body The Most Didn’t Have Social Media Accounts

If I can be honest, I have never been with a man who was active on any social media platforms. But in my last relationship I noticed a complete change in my man’s behavior towards me after comparing my natural body to the flawless curves belonging to the baddies of Instagram.

I dated much older men who didn’t understand the point of mindlessly scrolling through photos and posts of people they can easily call or text. These men worked hard and went home to relax by playing games on their phones or watching TV. But they weren’t exposed to the picture-perfect physique that belonged to the Instagram model. Now it did occur to them that cosmetic surgery was on the rise, but because they weren’t online they had no idea the extent by which the bodies that resulted from fat being sucked out of tummies and backs and pumped into breasts, hips, and asses were worshipped.

As a result these men appreciated the natural feminine body and the curvy, squishy, dimpled features that are now perceived as flaws; as a society we voted and agreed that no woman is good enough as she is, and specific areas of her form must be airbrushed, minimized, maximized, and exaggerated online with the click of a button.
