I witnessed so many influential creators that have either created a source of income from this app or are only on there to act a plum fool for likes and shares lose their everlasting minds over the mere possibility that their time on the platform has come to a halt, with them filming themselves crying and screaming for the public to watch. It was…interesting, to say the least.

One video that caught my attention came from a beautiful black female influencer who declared that if TikTok got banned she would simply get married. Why? Because according to this young lady the business she built using the platform would be ruined should the ban be implemented. So I guess marriage, not taking her audience and supporters and starting over elsewhere, is the only alternative?

You mean to tell me that this one social platform is the only reason why you are not a wife?! Wild.

I find her take fascinating for many reasons. For starters, many women use men and marriage as a fail safe to rescue them from the lows that naturally come with business and life in general. Instead of problem solving and finding solutions to stay afloat, why not just quit altogether and let a man who didn’t give up…
