The Responsibility, Not The Result, Is The Only Guarantee
As human beings we can want anything. But do we want to do what it takes to get that thing? That’s the million dollar question.
Unless you are excited to raise a whole person who will eventually become a productive member of society, I would think twice about pushing out a human being and avoiding the very real and harsh realities that come with the responsibility of parenthood to continually fantasize about any optional, added benefits you may or may not receive for your labor of love.
The only guarantee in motherhood is the responsibility of raising healthy, well-adjusted adults who contribute to society. Similarly, the only guarantee in building a successful business is the responsibility of working hard consistently over the course of many years despite any lack of motivation, ups and downs, algorithm changes, financial struggles, and familiar desires to quit. The only guarantee in chiseling the body of your dreams is the responsibility of being active, getting enough rest, consistently eating in a way that supports your goals, and sticking with your fitness regimen even when you don’t feel like it.
