The Simplest Act Of Self-Love Begins At Home!
It is important to me to bless my home for me first.
Sure, it is customary to clean and beautify our homes for guests, but why are we so eager to make sure our homes are perfect for others and not for ourselves? Shouldn’t we come first? Don’t we deserve to live in clean homes? Aren’t we worth that effort at least?
The benefits of keeping a polished sanctuary include reduced stress, reduced clutter, better focus, and improved mental health. Maybe it’s just me, but I believe I am worth these benefits on a regular basis, not just when people visit! In fact, choosing to deep clean occasionally, and especially when I know I am expecting company is not a healthy practice in self-love. It is a way to prioritize the needs, approval, and comfort of others above myself. And frankly, nobody comes before me!
So now I spend my weekends ensuring that my place is clean for me and me alone. Because it is important to me to bless my home for me first. Whether I am expecting guests, repairmen, or family is irrelevant. Keeping a clean home is the least I can do to gift myself the beauty of feeling good and creating magick in the place I lay my head every night.
