To Men, Women Are Either Sex Therapists Or Talk Therapists
“Just like men expect sex with a woman they are romantically involved with, they also expect a woman they cannot have sex with, due to pre-set conditions set like timing or because they don’t find her attractive to begin with, to squander her time by allowing him to vent.”
A few moments ago I was browsing my newly updated website. I clicked on the links in the menu to ensure that all of them were leading to the right external sites. At this point all of the writings I had published on my site are now delisted and intentionally placed behind a paywall that leads to Medium or Substack. Now, my time and emotions are placed behind a paywall as well, with a service I titled “The Confidante Woman.”
Once I clicked on the link I was led to the landing page I created, and a potent surge of rage welled up within me. “Women are not free therapists for men!” I yelled inside my own mind as I banged my fist on my MacBook keyboard.
Almost immediately I retreated my hand back, surprised that I was so angry at the wisdom I already knew. I was upset because I, as well as so many women, have been scammed to participate in the emotional vampirism that involves us sitting quietly while a man vents about how hard his life is.
