Unpopular Opinion: Maybe Your Life Isn’t Worth Sharing With Anyone?
Too many singles who are allergic to solitude waste entirely too much time doing anything but cultivating lives worth sharing.
Because so many people who either got in the marriage club or are trying their best to qualify to enter have been harassing me into making this endeavor my life’s purpose, as a writer and a woman I feel compelled to share the reasons why I remain unmoved; disgusted, even. And one of the reasons why I can confidently turn my nose up at romance is because I am selfish. Most of us have heard several hopeless romantics admit they want to fall in love because they want someone to share their lives with. How loving and selfless of them, right?
Truthfully, I don’t know whether to take these individuals seriously or conclude they are telling a sick joke. Because it’s a catch-22: you want to share your life with someone else, and yet this same life isn’t worth sharing in the first place! Actually, you may want to keep your shambles of a life to yourself until you actually have something worth sharing!
How are these folks not embarrassed at these lives they are so eager to share after whole decades of doing absolutely nothing but fantasizing and daydreaming about companionship?!
