What I like about the men who are now putting their foot down about marriage, children, and relationships is that women are forced to rethink what they want. Marriage has been sold to women as the number one validator of their existence and womanhood, and some ladies go to great lengths to force a man to propose to them. I have read HORROR STORIES of women baiting men into proposing.

As you mentioned, women want that piece of paper so badly and then they realize it's not what it's cracked up to be. I used to believe that being a long-term or lifelong girlfriend was terrible due to societal conditioning...but some women really should NOT get married (me included).

Either way, I like that both parties are now redefining what love means instead of blindly following what's been taught to us for centuries.
