Why Black Men Use The Guise Of “Self-Hate” To Control The Beauty Rituals & Freedoms Of Black Women
The only thing men can qualify through appearance alone is how much they can control women. Trust me ladies, men do not give a shit if women love themselves.
It was fascinating to come across the projections a lot of these men had for women who have the audacity to display themselves in ways that didn’t benefit their male critics. These ladies were accused of not respecting themselves, hating themselves, being immoral, and even being stupid, as the (Black and) Proud Boys have alleged that the glue which attaches the wigs are seeping into their brains and causing them to malfunction.
And of course there were claims that the beauty rituals belonging to black women are all part of an agenda to get us to hate ourselves, as if we are incapable of making our own decisions regarding how we choose to leave the house.
Now is there a possibility that there are people in high places orchestrating a tragic symphony where black women, and women in general, are made to feel so bad about themselves that they want to look like someone else? Of course! We all exist in a society where we are bombarded with messages that make us feel shitty about ourselves.
