Why Do People Feel The Need To Announce That They Don’t Agree With What I Write?

This isn’t me being mean. Trust me. For those who follow my work, you know that I can be raw without one fuck to give.

This is me really wondering why people feel the need to announce that they don’t agree with something I said in my articles. Every. Single. Time.

Writing is a calling for me. I will always say what’s on my mind regardless of how it is received. Therefore, I will not always write things that you like or agree with.

If you think that is my job, may I remind you right here and now that it isn’t? I am not your slave. Actually, no one on the internet works for you. The World Wide Web is not a safe space. Sorry not sorry.

Whenever someone makes a comment nitpicking my articles and telling me they agree, disagree, or slightly disagree I literally squint my eyes and go, “Okay?” Because, why on earth are you announcing this?

I read many articles online, and I have never in my life told anyone I disagreed with anything they published. One, because I understand that my opinions only matter to me and no one else. And two, I believe applauding their…
