Ladies, this article is your loving reminder to tighten up. Stop treating these men as if they are valued readers and supporters when all they have done is give you grief and headaches. You don’t have to read or respond to every damn comment or email you receive. You don’t owe anyone the luxury of getting inside your head and ruining your mood.
Y’all are really allowing these unhinged males to talk to you crazy for free and I don’t like that!
I have been writing online for a few years now, and I must say that it has been an amazing journey. But most importantly, this journey hasn’t been as scary as I imagined it to be.
Way before my readers even knew me as Sanni Lark I was scared shitless about ripping my heart open and sharing my experiences and brutally honest thoughts about life and love. This was because I came across so many brilliant female content creators who admitted that they received insults and death threats from men in the form of comments and emails.
Thankfully, to this day I haven’t received such a thing. Then again, maybe I have. But I wouldn’t know.
