It can only benefit you to become a woman of your word and honor the contracts you make with life and with yourself.

Keeping the promises you make to others is recognized by our society as a marker of great character. But I believe there is a lot of merit in keeping your word when it comes to the promises you make to yourself, whether they benefit anyone else or not.

If you look around, either online or in person, you can probably gauge who has kept any contracts they made with themselves for many years through thick and thin, and is now reaping the benefits of being a person of their word. These individuals are usually full of life, with thriving businesses, banging bodies, clear skin, loving relationships, and adventurous lifestyles.

These are usually the successful men and women who receive a lot of hate for having the audacity to live out the dreams that began in their heads a long time ago. The journey to get from Point A to Point B is a lonely one that requires a lot of selfishness. It requires you to say no from time to time. To let go of those friends and family members who are jealous of you or attempting to sabotage you. To take lots of chances in public and in private without knowing where you will land.
