Womanhood 101: How To Be A Good Steward Of Your Energy

As women, we are expected to serve men, women, and children for the entirety of our lives. We are conditioned to rely on others to replenish us emotionally, without even knowing what we need from the same people who benefit from us on a daily basis. We place our trust in our loved ones to keep us safe and never hurt us, and we often end up disappointed.
I had to learn the hard way that no one is going to care about my well-being more than me. I had to prioritize my needs and learn to speak up for myself, even if I am judged as angry and self-serving. It was a slow and painful process towards healing my emotional wounds, and I had to unlearn a lot of conditioning from my religious upbringing, family, friends, and society.
Here are a few pointers to help you to preserve your energy.
1. “What’s in it for me?”
