Yeah I can understand how being labeled as such can sting. I can admit that I don’t have any pressure on me by family and friends to have kids. My parents know they will not have the privilege of being grandparents as my brother nor I want children. Many, many women do not have the luxury of being accepted in this way, and even encouraged to do whatever is in their interests. I guess this makes the “single, selfish bitch” narrative hurt much less as my loved ones accept me as I am.
