You Deserve Grace And Compassion From Others, Even When You Mess Up
“Don’t let anything break your spirit.”
-M.A.
People really show their true colors when you make a mistake.
If you are a powerful woman, many people are secretly jealous of you and bothered by your presence. And they are simply waiting for you to make a mistake so they can really tell you how they truly feel.
It’s not enough for you to be human and fumble at times. When a powerful woman messes up, people look at the incident as an opportunity to rag on her and put her down. They feel like they now have a reason to disrespect her and put her in her place.
Basically, they want you to humble yourself. Because, who do you think you are?!
This is what they wanted to do all along, even if you considered them to be your friend. The hate inside of their hearts can’t give you the same love you give them when they beat themselves up for their mistakes. While you were comforting them and being a good friend, they were secretly resenting you.
Ask me how I know.
Women like me find peace in solitude because of the micro-aggressions and passive-aggressive behavior of people who smile in our faces but secretly want to curse us out for just being ourselves.
