Contrary to popular belief, single women are not doomed to live lives of loneliness and emptiness if a man isn’t physically present in their lives.

It is truly sad how so many ladies are dickmatized due to false information given by well-meaning people on how important men are to women. As an example, false information looks like the following statement, which also happens to be the title of this article:

“Your husband is the only family you get to choose, so choose wisely.”

Ladies, this is not true! Again, this is not true at all! You exist in many relationships, or families, outside of any family you create with your husband, if you even care to have a husband at all. And guess what? You must exercise discretion and savvy thinking when it comes to the families you create with human and nonhuman entities outside of one single man!

Isolating a damn man as your only option for a family outside of the one you were born into is a set-up for obsessive behavior where you view men as the maker or breaker of the family unit and a well-lived life, which is a narrative many women are unfortunately caught up in. What’s worse is that boys are not reared to view one woman as his only option for family, only girls are. This is why men generally have a more fulfilling social life complete with many connections and social circles.

Contrary to popular belief, single women are not doomed to live lives of loneliness and emptiness if a man isn’t physically present in their lives. Because all women, and people in general, exist in many families outside of the ones society only cares to recognize, which naturally involves wedding rings, marriage licenses, and babies.

For starters, the most important relationship you will ever cultivate is with yourself. This is your first family, and it is the foundation and standard for every single encounter and family you find yourself in.
